Update on lack of blogging

Hiyoo!

Perhaps some of the darkest days of 2011 have come and gone, with the floods and bushfires. My thoughts go out to anyone who has lost loved ones, or their home, or anything for that matter.

I’ve been internetless for a a bit over a week now, it sucks!! trivial i know, compared to the above mentioned issues, but still that’s why the blogs have been MIA for the past few days.

I’m embarrased to be Australian. They are complaining because a decision didn’t go their way.

Yet when an Aussie catches a half volley, THEN CLAIMS IT, he gets called a cheat by the English press, every body jumps to his defense. Disgusting.

My ideal job if Radio were out of the question

I’ve found my perfect job if Radio suddenly became extinct. (Highly likely, as on air talent seems to be an endangered species…)

I’d work as a barista, bartender, chef, or other hospitallity-based job, in a fast paced environment.

Why would this be perfect, you ask?

Have you ever had three minutes and thirty seconds to make a coffee, toast, and have a ciggarette?

Sure, i don’t smoke, and rarely drink coffee so for me it’s just three minutes to make toast and milo, but i tell you i’ve got that down to a damn fine art.

It’s a hot milo, so i have to turn the coffee machine on (oh the irony)

Then I put my toast in, then get the milk, margarine and other spread out (sauce, vegemite, vegemite & cheese slice, or peanut butter, depending on mood)

By that time, the coffee machine should be hot enough to make steam to heat the milk… about half way through heating the milk, the toast pops up the first time. for some SILLY reason, it’s set to like #2 on the dial, which means the (frozen) bread is still bread the first time around.

I put the toast back down, by then the milk is “screaming” that it’s ready, so i turn it off, clean the milk spout, pour in some milk, stir the milo in, then pour the remainder of the milk in.

By the time i wash out the milk jug, the toast springs up again, ready to be spread, and after i put everything on, in, away, and under where it’s meant to be, i race back to the studio, sit down, take a breath and…

- “TEN SECONDS”

Awesome…

Did she ever have talent?

Well she wrote “Breakaway” for Kelly Clarkson, so immediately I’ll say no.

Kidding, but on a serious note, she has had eight (of her 11 songs) enter the top 20, with five of those going top 10.

She’s also been in Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Fast Food Nation, Over the Hedge,  The Flock and American Idol.

And more recently designed the costumes for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland

It makes me wonder, if she really was “Talentless” like so many people claim her to be, would the people in power in the above mentioned movies have let her on set? Would she have have had more talent than P!NK in the US?

(P!NK is talented yes? then why has she had only nine songs – out of 27 – in the US top ten?)

I’m really looking forward to “Goodbye Lullaby” set to be released late Feb/early March this year.
